When Pretend Money Has Real Value

The Illinois Business Law Journal is a production of the University of Illinois College of Law's Business Law Society. This project is inspired by an innovative trend in legal publication, in which weblog technology is utilized to allow students, faculty, and professionals to interact online through legal writing and scholarship; providing a unique complement to traditional law reviews. The purpose of this Journal is to provide our readers with information on recent developments affecting business law. Articles are written by law students, but we invite professors, students, and practitioners to submit articles or user comments for publication on the website. Please visit the website on a regular basis, as new articles are published frequently.

Al Andalus Caliphate Project Presentation on the Slang Life Island

We are excited to invite you to the presentation of two-sim Al-Andalus Caliphate Project, which takes place on 15th December at 10 am PST on the Slang Life Island.

The Al-Andalus Caliphate Project is an attempt to reconstruct 14th Century Moor Alhambra.

It aims to build around this virtual space a community of individuals willing to explore the modalities of interaction between different languages, nationalities, religions and cultures shaped by authentic Islamic principles.

Those principles include political participation, separation of powers, justice and the rule of law.
As such, it is a social, political, legal and social project that takes advantage of the opportunities offered by the SL platform to develop virtual communities around a fixed virtual place and model its growth and development with real individuals from accross the world - all while intergrating a sense of gaming, entertainment, and sheer fun.

For more information about this project visit Virtually Blind or Your2ndPlace

Harvard university
